Tucked between the charming Wiltshire towns of Zeals and Mere, Leaping Frogs is a magical place where childhood is celebrated the old-fashioned way – with muddy knees, giggles in the breeze, and learning that’s rooted in nature.
We’re proud to be rated Outstanding by Ofsted, and even prouder of our 1.2 acres of countryside fun! Our bright and cheerful nursery is more than just a building – it’s a cosy, ‘home-from-home’ where every child is cherished, and curiosity is encouraged.
Our little learners spend their days making friends with chickens on our MINI FARM, climbing, discovering, and letting their imaginations run wild in the great outdoors. We believe in the power of play, fresh air, and good old traditional values – helping children grow into confident, kind, and capable individuals.
At Leaping Frogs, no two days are ever the same, because no two children are. Their unique interests and needs guide everything we do, and we’re here to nurture each little personality to their full potential.

Welcome to Tiny Tadpoles – Where the littlest leapers begin!
Our Tiny Tadpoles room is a warm and wiggly wonderland just for babies aged 3 months and up. It’s a bright, snuggly space full of gentle giggles, squishy toys, and new adventures waiting to be discovered!
Led by our lovely, smiley team of baby experts (and cuddle champions!), we create a calm and caring place where your baby can learn through play, explore the world around them, and enjoy all the magic of those precious early milestones.
We know how important it is to feel confident in your baby’s care, so we work closely with you to create a special plan just for your little one – whether it’s sleepy routines, favourite snuggly toys, or bottle preferences, we’ve got it all covered.
Our Tiny Tadpoles room has everything your baby needs: soft play for wriggling and rolling, messy play for squishing and splatting, peaceful places for snoozing, and even its very own outdoor area for tiny toes to feel the fresh air.

Welcome to Tadpoles – A big world of little adventures! 🐾
For busy little explorers aged 1 to 2.5 years, our Tadpoles room is where the real adventures begin!
From jungle roars to twinkly stars, every day is packed with wonder, discovery, and LOTS of giggles.
Our lovely, energetic team are always ready with open arms, silly songs, and magical stories that whisk your little one’s imagination far and wide. Whether we’re building castles in the sand, chasing bubbles, or getting messy with paint and glitter, learning here is one big, joyful adventure!
There’s even a real sensory room – like stepping into a twinkly, touchy-feely treasure cave – where little ones can explore sights, sounds, and textures to spark their senses.
We know every child is unique, so we work closely with you to create a special plan just for your little explorer, making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved every step of the way.
Our Tadpoles have easy access to the great outdoors, where they can splash in water trays, dig in the sand, and wave hello to our friendly chickens and ducks (who love a snack from tiny hands!).
Inside, there are cosy spots for dreamy naps, soft play zones for climbing and crawling, and messy corners for squishy, squelchy fun.
There’s so much to see, do, and discover in Tadpoles – a whole world of mini adventures waiting just for you!

Our Froglets room is specially made for our bouncy bunch of 2 to 3-year-olds – full of energy, full of giggles, and ready to explore a world of fun!
With its magical woodland theme, this room is bursting with exciting activities, creative play, and enchanting experiences that make every day feel like a brand-new story. Whether we’re building castles in the construction zone or sailing the high seas on our pirate boats, there’s never a dull moment in Froglets!
Just outside the door is our amazing outdoor wonderland – think wide open grassy space, climbing forts, veggie gardens to dig in, and even a real-life pets’ corner with our miniature Shetlands, goats, rabbits, chickens, and ducks! (they love cuddles and snacks!)
Inside, there's just as much to explore – a cosy nap area for dreamy rests, a home corner for make-believe fun, a messy play zone for splashy, painty creations, and a quiet book nook for stories and snuggles.
We believe in learning through play, and in Froglets, it couldn’t be more exciting, adventurous, or joyfully muddy!

In our Froggies and Toadies rooms, big imaginations and muddy boots are always welcome! Designed for children aged 3–4, these rooms are all about preparing for school the Leaping Frogs way – through adventure, curiosity, and a deep love of the great outdoors.
Here, every day is a chance to explore, discover, and grow. We don’t just learn about nature – we live it! Whether your child is growing vegetables in the garden, studying bugs in the nature corner, swinging from trees, sliding down forts, or feeding the goats and chickens, they’ll be learning
through real-world experiences that spark wonder and build confidence.
We believe children thrive when they’re free to follow their interests. That’s why every activity in Froggies and Toadies is carefully planned to suit your child’s unique journey – supporting their progress while encouraging independence, problem-solving, and joyful curiosity.
Our outdoor spaces are true wonderlands: zoom around on a balance bike, set sail in the pirate boats, dig, splash, climb, and create! Rain or shine, we’re out there – splashing in puddles, collecting leaves, listening to birdsong, and feeling the rhythm of the seasons.
And while they’re busy adventuring, your little one is also gently building all the key skills they’ll need for school: listening, turn-taking, confidence in communication, early literacy and numeracy, self-care skills and social confidence. We foster independence and a love of learning through meaningful play, real-world experiences, and warm, supportive guidance.
By the time they leap from Leaping Frogs to big school, your child will be resilient, ready, and full of joy – a curious, capable little explorer with roots in nature and wings to fly.
