HAPPY, healthy and ACTIVE

Our outdoor classroom provides endless opportunities for your child to RUN, JUMP and Dance their way through trees, flower and meadow gardens, pirate boats and our wooden fort. Developing their core strength, co- ordination and agility. From tummy time, crawling and encouraging first steps for babies to challenging obstacle courses with a creative narrative for older children. We can be Superheroes dodging, jumping from different heights, lifting weights and running with quick directional changes to riding pretend horses around our 1.2 acre ranch, galloping and falling off our horses and climbing back on (whilst under the gaze of our two real ponies Blossom and Bluebell, who gently graze nearby). This not only gets our hearts racing but our laughter rolling too (which is great exercise for our tummy muscles too!) We observe and talk about how our bodies react to physical play and learn about the importance of being fit and healthy, risk assessing and challenging ourselves to achieve our goals. We learn about our bodies through songs and 'funny bones 'our friendly skeleton! and the importance of oral hygiene, including visits from our local dental team.
Teaching children to have a positive attitude towards healthy eating, including growing and preparing their own food and snacks to 'tasting sessions' where they sample new foods from around the world.
'Leaping Frogs has everything Max needs, especially the outdoor space and the amount of time they spend out there, whatever the weather! We will definitely be sending our daughter when she is older.'

Fine motor skills are important too,
starting with sensory explorations and the development of hand eye co ordination. We use tweezers, beads, and one handed tools to name but a few, each helping to develop strong hand muscles which will contribute to your child's early literacy.
Fine motor skill development is part of everything we do!
The more practise we get, the more accomplished and independent we become. Children show a sense of pride in being able to do up their own zips on our playsuits before embarking on another outdoor adventure!
